What to do in Munich for 48 Hours

After the 3 full days in Switzerland, we took the train from Switzerland to Germany. Let me tell you, it was not easy. Lucky for us, the train stations are formatted similar to Grand Central. Unlucky for us, we had to deal with a broken down train and a connecting ride. A six hour ride turn into nine hours later, we made it to Munich (going from Geneva to Zurich, Zurich to Augsburg and Augsburg to Munich).

So, what was our itinerary for seeing Munich in 48 hours?

Day 1: After 9 hours later and checking into the hotel (Motel One Munchen) two hours later than we were supposed to, we needed a drink. Luckily, our hotel was about a 15-20 minute walk away from the Hofbrauhaus. That was definitely our favorite place for drinks!

Day 2: This day was basically our only day to tour around Munich since we were catching our separate flights early the next morning. We started our day at the BMW museum, which was one of the most interactive museum I’ve been to. My boyfriend loved being able to sit on the motorcycles and cars they had open! After that, we went shopping in Marienplatz and visited the Lenbachhaus. We went to a very cool steakhouse called ABACCO Steakhouse where they gave you the steak and hotstones to cook the steak. You were able to get free refills on any type of food when you paid for it once, so you really got full use of what you paid for.

Stay tuned for my next post where I meet my friends and class in Sicily for a week and a half!
