Hey, nice to meet you!

My name is Alexis and I am twenty one years old and I am a Senior at Marist College majoring in Fashion Merchandising, Minoring in advertising and Concentrating in sales promotion. I attended the summer programs at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City for six years, each year learning a different aspect of fashion. I have explored the apparel business, designing, photography and color aspects of the fashion world. I have also had the opportunity to attend many trade shows including Kingpins, Project, Iskool denim fashion show in Italy, Munich Fabric Start, Texworld, and even Co-moderated a talk at Denim Days Amsterdam in fall 2019. I have written multiple blogs on Carvedinblue.com and published photos on Rivetandjeans.com, as well as Carvedinblue.com. Since I live close to New York City, I know my way around and I love all the excitement it has to offer.  I have traveled to many places throughout the USA and to other countries including Austria, Italy, Amsterdam, Spain, Germany, Antigua, Puerto Rico, Grand Cayman and Turks and Caicos. I enjoy traveling to places like these because I get to experience all different cultures outside my little town. I have also started becoming affiliates for many direct to consumer companies and recently partnered with Impact Radius (Hi Impact Radius!)

Fitness and health are also very important to me. Being someone who is not a natural athlete, I've learned there are many other ways to keep my mind and body in shape. I go to the gym, take barre classes and often go for walks with my friends.

I decided to start this blog as a way to express my interests and opinions in Fashion, Fitness and Fun places I have been. I love being able to talk about the clothes I have bought and share my opinions about what I think looks best. People have come to depend on me to help them find a certain outfit and feel good about how they dress. Since fitness plays a huge role in my life, I also like to help other people with suggestions on what to do in a  workout at the gym or at home. Since I go to New York City a lot, people always ask me for the interesting things to do and the best restaurants. I have helped not only people my age, but also adults with the best places to go in the city.  I hope you enjoy reading my posts on all the latest trends and great places to go, while doing sit ups!
