Summer 2020 Plans (with CoronaVirus)

Hi guys! It’s been a while since I’ve written a blog post. I’ve been MIA with my schoolwork, transitioning into quarantine, etc. But I am back and I wanted to fill you guys in on what I’ve been up to and my summer plans with everything going on!

So, since quarantine, I’ve really been focusing on fitness. I’ve been doing weekly IGTV’s workouts as I took part in the Alexis Ren workout Challenge and I have seen SUCH good results! I usually don’t follow youtube videos because I want to make sure the workouts are credible (like from a trainer or someone who knows exactly what they are doing), but I actually really enjoyed doing them! Here are the videos from the videos I have recorded on my IGTV.

I also made a little Youtube, day in the life of quarantine as something fun to do. I can look back after quarantine is over at the video every time I think I am bored in the future. No one will ever be as bored as they were in quarantine again.

I have also been busy with finding internships and things to do to keep me busy over the summer because I will not be working at Anthropologie this summer (which first summer without my discount :( Not sure how I’m going to buy clothes from Free People now). I am so happy to tell you what I have set up for my ‘summer in quarantine’.

First off, I am doing an internships this summer, getting credit for school, by starting my own little social media business. I am working with two fashion companies and a fitness company to vamp up their social media, LinkedIn and Instagram. This will help them attract new business partners and expand their brand. I am really excited to work with these companies because they really tailor to what I am passionate about, fitness and fashion. It will also be good for me to learn about LinkedIn since I’m new to it.

Not only do I have that internship going on, but I am also getting two certifications in gym training. I am getting my resistance training certification and my certification in TRX. The main reason I wanted to get these certifications is because I’ve always taken an interest in fitness and what workouts work what muscle groups. Usually I would ask my trainer tons of questions when I would have sessions with her, but because I am unable to see her during this time, I thought I would take it upon myself to learn the science behind working out. I also get asked by a lot of my friends and others to have me help them with working out. I want to be able to answer questions that people ask me and know that I am training correctly!

On top of all that, I am also taking an online course on how to become an influencer! I have had this blog for 5 years (wow that’s crazy), and I want to further my knowledge of Instagram and blogging and what better time to do it than right now??

Those are the jobs and work I will be doing over the summer, but I am also going to be doing other activities as well. I will be continuing working out as I normally would to keep up my health. I am going to be tanning regardless of whether pools open or not (because I am not giving up my tan for Corona) and I’m going to see my friends. In August, I am hoping that beaches will be cleared, so I will be able to go to Avalon for a week in August.

As you can see, I have a jam packed summer, despite being in quarantine. I’m hoping that over the summer, things will get better and we will be making progress with reopening everything by the fall! As of right now, stay tuned for my next post, ‘how to get a good tan during quarantine’.
