Best Christmas Window Displays of New York City

One of the best things to do around the holidays is going into the city for the day, without a doubt. But if your looking for something to do without spending a lot of money, it might be hard.

Looking at holiday windows is such a fun thing to do in New York City and it’s completely free! Here are the top 11 places to go to in New York City:

One of the most well known Holiday window displays is the Macy’s in Herald Square. I was able to see the unvailing of it when I was in the city and it was amazing! No wonder so many people are always taking pictures in front of it (I’m guilty of it too)!

Hill House has to be one of the more festive displays on Bleeker Street, and I think you can see why!

I have never heard of Sisley before going to Bleeker Street, but look how cute this window display is! it attracted me right away just from the festive windows and all the shiny products in the window.

The All Birds pop up shop is something that you have to go to on Bleeker Street. Out of all the stores, this one is the most interesting because they have redesigned the store to make it more of a home setting. They have a pool table and couches to drink coffee, so you feel right at home with your All Birds. Oh, and during the holiday’s they even put in a Christmas tree!

Magnolia, although small, is notorious for their pastries and with the holidays around the corner, everyone is trying to get some delicious goodies. Since so many people go there, of course they have to make it look festive for the holidays! I did not get a great picture of the window display, but I still wanted to include it in my favorite window displays, so check it out on Bleeker Street!

Chelsea Market itself is known for the rows upon rows of christmas lights in the center of the place. It is one of my favorite places to go and I’m sure you can see why!

Free People in Chelsea also does a great job with decorating the window displays! They always bring out fun, festive decorations seen all around the store.

Anthropologie in Chelsea market also did a great job at decorating for the holidays. The large displays, mixed with the snow flakes hanging down from the ceiling, are really a great way to get in the holiday spirit (and, trust me, I’m not only saying it because I work there!)

Cartier has one of the most simplistic yet elegant window displays (even though Cartier doesn’t have windows). Cartier is located right down the street from Saks fifth ave and, although it isn’t decked out like Macy’s, is one of the most festive places to go to!

And, saving the bear for last, the Saks Fifth Ave light show! Every Christmas, Saks puts up lights for all to watch as they change on the building. The light show starts everyday at around 5 pm during the month of December and January. The show lasts about five minutes, and it is totally worth going to see!
